How Hackerscorn uses your personal data, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

Who we are
Hackerscorn is a sole proprietorship owned by Pratik Das, based in Burdwan, West Bengal, India. We are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.
What we collect, why, and for how long

We collect only what we need. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking. We never ask for card numbers or banking passwords.
Consent
We use your data with your consent, given when you create an account, send us a message or use the AI assistant. You can withdraw consent at any time from your Profile page or by emailing us. Withdrawing doesn't affect what was done before, and we may keep records the law requires.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that run the website for us (hosting, sign-in, email and security), only to provide the service.
- Our AI provider, for chat messages only. It may use them to improve its services, so please don't type personal details into the chat.
- For store orders: our payment partner (to take your payment) and our delivery partners (your name, phone and address, to deliver your parcel).
- Mentors of your batch see only your name and student code.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Some providers may process data outside India, as the DPDP Act allows.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and who we shared it with;
- correct, complete, update or erase it;
- stop using it, by withdrawing consent; and
- let a person you nominate act for you if you die or can't act yourself.
You can update your details and request account deletion on your Profile page, or email us. We reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
Our courses are for adults. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must contact us and give consent before you enroll. We don't track children or show them advertising.
Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit and limited access. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to sign you in. See the Cookie Policy.
