Your first bug bounty: a 30-day plan that actually works
Skip the YouTube binge. Here's the exact 30-day routine our learners use to ship a first valid report.

The biggest reason new hunters never submit a report isn't skill — it's structure. A 30-day routine beats motivation every time.
Week 1 — Pick one program
Pick a program whose scope is one application, not a holding company. Read the rules twice. Twice. Half the duplicates that get closed are people who never read what was out of scope.
Week 2 — Map
All recon, no exploitation. Build a target map you'll come back to: subdomains, technology fingerprints, authentication flows, third-party integrations. Save everything. Tag everything.
Week 3 — Hunt one class
Pick one bug class — IDOR, SSRF, auth bypass — and hunt only that across your mapped surface. Generalists don't beat specialists in a 30-day window.
Week 4 — Write
By the end of week 3 you'll have at least one finding. Spend a real day writing the report: impact, reproduction, recommendation. Reports get triaged based on clarity as much as severity.
